
Overnight market review (April 22): Gold futures prices rose slightly at midday in Asian markets on Friday, but as U.S. bond yields continued to strengthen, gold prices may fall for the first time in three weeks.
“Rising interest rates will obviously have an impact on gold’s outlook, but until gold prices solidly break out of the $1,930-$2,000 trading range…gold really has little direction,” the market said.
